Helen Gurley Brown’s Single Girl’s Cookbook: The author of Sex and the Single Girl, primary reading from the sexual revolution of the 1960s, wrote a cookbook! Published in 1969 by Bernard Geis Associates. Hard copy with 406 pages. This copy is in mint condition. Absolutely gift condition. Dust jacket included–and it is better that the one in this image.

Helen Gurley Brown was a gifted writer. This cookbook is funny, very personal, and extremely useful. Sections are “How to Sneak Up On a Kitchen and Cook Something, How to be a Fabulous Cook, Hooray for Holidays and Parties. The cookbook is based on menus, say for the relatives visiting or the boss coming for dinner, with each menu followed by the appropriate recipes. Everything is written in a chronological, conversational tone. It can be confusing if you try to just read a single recipe, since Gurley Brown tells you when to put the roast in the oven in the middle of the salad recipe.
