Recipes from the Old South, Martha Meade, 1961: Famous cookbook written by Martha Meade and published by Bramhall House, New York. Hard cover book with 184 pages. No dust jacket. First edition, later printing. With the exception of the fact that the pages are uniformly and lightly tanned, this cookbook is in pristine condition. Absolutely mint. Definitely gift quality.

Meade is a terrific cookbook author. The recipes are clean and clear and often include a bit of charming local history or food lore. For example, did you know that was a baker’s daughter from Bath, England?
