Shrimp Remoulade Recipes from New Orleans Recipes, Stanforth, 1967
Shrimp Remoulade Recipes from New Orleans Recipes, Stanforth, 1967: One of the great things about Stanforth’s book is that she provides several versions of classic recipes. For example, for remoulade sauce, she gives her readers the Commander’s version, Galatoire’s, Masson’a, and Pontchartrain’s.
Of course we have the cookbook. In fact, we have two copies. See it here: https://www.vintagecookbook.com/product/new-orleans-restaurant-cookbook-1967/ and here: https://www.vintagecookbook.com/product/new-orleans-restaurant-cookbook/
New Orleans Restaurant Cookbook, by Deirdre Stanforth, published by Doubleday and Company, Inc., Garden City, New York, 1967. Hard cover, 240 pages. Dust jacket in very good condition, with some discoloration around the spine. Book in mint condition. Cover and binding are perfect. Pages are all clean and clear.
Great cookbook with lots of New Orleans history, copies of wonderful old photographs and lithographs, not to mention fabulous recipes. Lovely sketches are also by the author. (Before we were married, my husband made the Brennan’s Shrimp Remoulade from this book. Since then, alas!)
