Published by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich: New York and London, 1973.  Signed, “Love, Pearl Bailey” on the front fly leaf (not the printed signature and note “To Humanity.”) Hard cover.  211 pages.  Dust cover is slightly discolored near the top.  Binding is perfect.  Pages are all clean and clear.  Near mint condition.

This is a charming cookbook written as if you were sitting in the kitchen with Pearl Bailey and she was chatting away at you.  It includes not only her recipes, but also her tips on housekeeping, child rearing, budgeting, and on friendship.  The cookbook also includes recipes from many of Bailey’s acquaintances and friends, including Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Bing Crosby, Victor Borge, Tony Bennett, Carol Burnett, Burt Reynolds, Perle Mesta, any many more.  This cookbook is a great read, and it would make an excellent gift.  Read about Bailey’s incredible career here:   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pearl_Bailey
