The cookbook was published in 1981, with the New York City restaurant’s history written by its owner, Faith Stewart-Gordon, and with the original Tea Room recipes re-written for individual use by noted cookbook author Nika Hazelton. The one great recipe? Eggplant a la Russe, eggplant in casserole baked with cream and sour cream–a vegetarian’s delight!
