This cookbook was self published by the Great Smoky Mountain Natural History Association. Copyrighted in 1957. Its members provided the recipes, along with the wives of Park Service Employees. The lovely pencil sketches were by Patsy Gilbert. It was edited by Mary Ruth Chiles and Mrs. William P. Trotter. The Cookbook has 54 pages. It has a cardboard cover and a plastic comb binding. It is in nearly as-if-new condition. The only flaw is slightly rounded corners on the cover.
The recipes are for breads, cake, cookies, cereal and mush, drinks, dumplings, fish, fruits, gravy, groundhog, gruel, jam, muffins, pancakes, pie, puddings, remedies, salad dressing, stuffing, vegetables, and yeast.
