Jolly Times Cook Book Vegetable Jumble:  Jolly Times Cook Book: Simple Recipes for Young Beginners, by Marjorie Noble Osborn, with wonderful illustrations by Clarence Biers.  Jolly Times was published in 1934.  The fictional little girls who are learning to cook in this book are ten and seven.  The recipes in the cookbook seem MUCH more sophisticated and difficult to cook than our contemporary cookbooks for kids.  See this Vegetable Jumble recipe:
