Marblehead Cooks, 1989, Selected Recipes from Tower School: As-if-new copy of a very la-di-dah cookbook from Marblehead, a town on the seacoast just north of Boston, jutting out into Massachusetts Bay. The Tower School was (is?) a private school there, and this cookbook was a fund raiser for the school’s scholarship fund. Copyright 1989 by Tower Associates. The book was printed by Highland Printing, Stoneham, Massachusetts. This cookbook wasn’t compiled by volunteers. The work was done by a staff of nine! 378 pages, each and every one clean and clear. The cover has a minor amount of shelf wear. Heavy duty plastic comb binding.

This cookbook has several special events menus, with the recipes to make them. It has chapters with appetizers and beverages, soups and salads, eggs, cheese and pasta, meat entrees, poultry entrees, seafood entrees, accompaniments, bars and cookies, pies and cakes, other desserts, breads and breakfast, for kids only, a chapter called “wooden spoon,” and a last chapter called “around the town” with recipes from townsfolk not affiliated with Tower School. Many of these recipes are very high class! Fun book to read. Difficult book to find.
