This is a stellar cookbook that benefits from the diversity of San Francisco, both geographic and cuisine-wise. For example, the pasta and rice recipes all come from North Beach. The fish recipes, of course, are from Fisherman’s Wharf, the poultry from Chinatown, the beverages rom Golden Gate Park, and the desserts–bless ’em–are from Nob Hill.
