Hungarian cooking, Elizabeth de Biro, 1952, First Edition, First Printing. Elegant vintage book in nearly mint condition. Dust jacket included. Published in 1952 by Audre Deutsch Limited, London. Hardcover book with hand stitched folios. 144 pages, all completely clean and clear. Dust jacket slightly discolored, but otherwise in good shape. Introduction by Audre Deutsch.

The cookbook is especially interesting in Biro’s use of World War II rationing limits. Recipes include appetizers, salads, soups, hot and cold fish, light entrees, poultry and game, meat and meat garnishing, vegetables, sweets, cakes, and pastries, one course meals, and sauces. The book also includes Specimen Menus.
