Candy Book, Culinary Arts Press, 1938, Three Mountaineers, Inc.: Charming wooden frame for the Candy Book, a Culinary Arts Cookbooklet compiled and edited by S. Claire Sondheim. Three Mountaineers provided the hand painted wooden frame tied with raw hide. Booklet has 48 pages with 150 recipes. The title page has a small tear. All other pages are completely clean and clear. The wooden cover is in as-if-new condition.
This cookbook has recipes for brittles and hard candies, caramels, chocolates, coconut candies, divinities and nougats, fondant, fudge, glaceed fruits and nuts, maple candies, marzipans, and taffies and kisses, plus information about degrees of boiling sugar and things every candymaker wants to know.
