Bahama Cook and Drink Book, 1971, Joe Cartwright, Lowell Grant:  Very collectible book of food recipes and drink recipes by Joe Cartwright, owner of Joe’s Restaurant, West End, Grand Bahama Island, ahamas, and the restaurant’s barman, Lowell Grant.  Beautifully illustrated by Bob Lamme.  First printing was in February 1966.  This copy is from the third printing, 1980.    Paper covered booklet with staples binding.  40 pages, with the last 11 pages having recipes for cocktails.  It is in nearly mint condition.  Cover and pages are slightly yellowed.

The cocktail recipes are really special.  Most of them are introduced with the verses of songs, like Island in the Sun, or Yellow Bird, or Wings of a Dove.  Then, the ingredients for the cocktail are given, along with instructions for mixing and suggestions for garnish and glassware.  See VintageCookbook’s recipes section (https://vintagecookbook.com/recipes/) for the drink Shame and Scandal.
