Description
World of Good Eating: Recipes from Around the World, 1951: Cookbook written by Heloise Frost, illustrated by Ellen A Nelson, and published in 1951 by Phillips Publishers, Inc., Newton, Massachusetts, and Jack Frost Studios, Inc., Reading, Massachusetts. Paper cover with plastic comb binding and 128 pages, with many colorful illustrations. First edition, later printing. Comes in its original cardboard box. Box has a lot of shelf wear. The cookbook’s cover has some very light spots. The pages are all completely clean and clear. Lovely illustrations.
These recipes are from the British Isles, China, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Scandinavia, and America. Living on a farm in New England, Frost used two criteria in selecting these recipes: each dish had to appeal to her family and ingredients had to be easy to get. And, simple recipes were best. So, all of these recipes are accessible to most cooks!
We also have Frost’s second cookbook, Early American Recipes, also with its original box. See it here: https://vintagecookbook.com/product/early-american-recipes-traditional-recipes-from-new-england-kitchens-1953-mint-in-original-box/ They make a nice set!
