New American Cook Book, 1942. Later printing of the famous cookbook by Lily Haxworth Wallace of the Ballard School, New York City. This printing was published by Books, Inc., New York, in 1954. Hard cover, 930 pages. This copy has its (tattered) original dust jacket. Green linen-covered boards are in nearly as-if-new condition. The binding is in fine shape and the pages are all clean, . even the cake and cookie pages are clean. (Those are the first pages I check.) The pages are uniformly yellowed. The New American Cook Book is the only cookbook I know of to have frogs’ legs specifically mentioned in the table of contents!
