Ho’ ono: Gathering of Recipes from the Hyatt Family, Hyatt Regency Waikiki, 1997: Stated first edition, first printing of cookbook published in 1997 by the employees of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. Historical photographs throughout the book furnished by the Bishop Museum. Binder is a luxuriously padded notebook cover. Recipes are on 190 pages with tabbed dividers. (The rag stock paper is blue-shade with gray and blue flecks and it is difficult to scan. That’s why these scans look muddy.) Very high-end production! This copy is in as-if new condition. Cover is perfect. Ring binder is perfect. Pages are perfect.
As you might expect, these recipes make great use of Hawaii’s exotic fruits and its wide range of fish and seafood, along with taking advantage of the rich ethnic diversity of the Hyatt’s employees. Recipes for sushi, sashimi, taegu, mano, and more. Interestingly, many tofu recipes!
