Favorite Recipes from Local Chefs, Presented by the Girl in White, Providence, R. I. @ 1960s: 32-page booklet produced by Providence Gas Company, Providence, R. I. There’s no date on the booklet, but a two-page picture shows a very early 1960s mom in a Audrey-Hepburn Moon-River dress and heels unloading a dishwasher. Recipes from 19 Providence restaurants, including Ballard’s Restaurant, Camille’s Roman Garden, Great House, Holland House, Kingstown Inn, Miss Dutton’s Restaurant, Wayland Manor, and Zenga’s. Booklet is in excellent vintage condition. Pages are all clean and clear. Stapled binding is firim. Cover has a slight bit of shelf wear. This is a difficult-to-find booklet. No other is available on the Internet.
(I’m guessing the Girl in White is an advertising staple for Providence Gas.)
