Congressional Club Recipes, 1947, First Edition, First Printing: The 1945-47 edition of the Congressional Club Cookbook. The others that I’ve had and sold were very formal, bound volumes. This one is a much more upbeat, casual book with all the recipes hand written by the contributor and with lots of cute little hand drawn illustrations. The book was copyrighted by The Congressional Club, Washington, D.C. Published by Whitman Publishing Company, Racine, Wisconsin. Inscription on the inside of the cover is signed by Walt Horan, a Congressman from Washington State.

This copy is a first edition, first printing copy. The cover has a slight amount of shelf wear. The pages are completely clean and clear. The plastic comb binding is perfect. 401 pages. Heavy cardboard cover.
