Yes, we have the cookbook. See it here:

Cotton Country Collection, 1972, Junior Charity League, Monroe, Louisiana. First Edition, First Printing. 491-page cookbook. Paper cover of cookbook protected by heavy clear plastic. Excellent vintage condition. Cover has a bit of shelf wear. Pages are all clean and clear. This is an enormous, completely comprehensive cookbook. (You’d think they would have saved some recipes for their second cookbook!)

In the foreward the editor, Marillyn Taylor, stresses the many flavors in their recipes, brought by from the people settled in the Ouachita area, including Indians, Creoles, Africans, Spanish, French, and Angelo-Americans. She stresses that the Cotton Country Collection is “a medley of French sauces with Spanish spiciness and African seasonings, served up over the Indian’s native corn or oysters or potatoes or wild turkey.”
