Of course we have the cookbook.   See it here: https://www.vintagecookbook.com/product/picayune-creole-cook-book-1954/

Picayune Creole Cook Book, twelfth edition, printed in 1954, still with the recipes using wines and liquors customary before Prohibition. Published by the Times-Picayune Publishing Company, New Orleans. Original copyright 1901. This is a blue hard copy with an African American woman in scarf and apron stirring a mixing bowl. 438 pages. Clay coated pages. Cover is in mint condition–not a bit of shelf wear. Cookbook hasn’t been never been opened, I think. Pages are all spotless. Hinges and binding are perfect! Absolutely as-if-new condition. Gift quality!

We’re going to have the Rice Waffles on Christmas morning, I think. You know, this may be the grandmother of all the newspaper-originated cookbooks. Or at least the famous, glamorous great-aunt!
