Delmar’s Delights: Seafood Recipes from the Delmar Restaurants, 1978. Book in As-if-New Condition. GREAT seafood cookbook written by Byrd Goodman, owner of Delmar’s Restaurant, first published by Strode Publishers, Inc., Huntsville, Alabama in 1978. This copy is from the 1981 second printing. Hardback book with dust jacket and 106 pages. Dust jacket has seen better days. Book is in pristine condition. Hinges are perfect. Cover is perfect. Pages are completely clean and clear.
Of the 106 pages in this book, 64 pages are completely devoted to seafood, with recipes for crab, fish, oysters, scallops, and shrimp. Since the photos in the book show that Delmar’s was a cafeteria style restaurant, it makes sense that many of these recipes are for serve yourself type dishes. There are many, many seafood casserole recipes, plus dishes like crab-stuffed baked potato and red fish stew. If you are looking for seafood recipes, you will be very happy with this cookbook.
