Peking Duckling with Thin Pancakes and Hoisin Sauce from Oryori Oryori Oryori, 1972
Peking Duckling with Thin Pancakes and Hoisin Sauce from Oryori Oryori Oryori, 1972. One great recipe from Oryori Oryori Oryori: Cooking with Accents from the Orient.
Of course we have the cookbook. See it here: https://www.vintagecookbook.com/product/oryori-oryori-oryori-cooking-accents-orient/
Oryori Oryori Oryori: Cooking with Accents from the Orient: First edition, first printing of the cookbook produced by the Woman’s Fellowship of Woman’s Fellowship of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois in 1972. It is both the product and the result of the church’s International Potluck Supper. Paper cover cookbook with 148 pages. Cover has a very small amount of shelf wear. Pages are all clean and clear. Paper clipped inside the front cover is a hand typed errata sheet entitled “Corrections for Oryori Cookbook (So sollee!)”
The cook book committee emphasizes the oriental recipes and includes 59 pages of them. Basic recipes for dishes like egg roll, Cantonese sauce, pork and crabmeat balls are included, along with more unusual–at least to me–recipes like Cucumber Otsukemono, Dengaku, Kimpira Gobo, Maki Sushi, Age Zushi, Shoyu Gohan, Kitsune Udon, and many more. See our Recipes section for the recipe Peking Duckling with Thin Pancakes and Hoisin Sauce.
