Wee Nip (a cook’s book), Lori Rath, 1967: Self-published “for the benefit of Lori’s financial recovery.” I don’t know the story of this little cookbook, but I bet it is a good one. Cookbook self-published in 1967 by Lori Rath, “dedicated to all who swear off the morning after.” From Woodland Hills, California. Heavy, clay coated paper for the cover. 67 pages. Stapled binding. Mint condition. All the recipes have some kind of alcoholic beverages as an ingredient. Many of them are for quite substantial main courses, like standing rib roast, spare ribs, duck, chili con carne, red spaghetti, green spaghetti, brown spaghetti, spaghetti and pecans, sauerkraut in gin, crab and mushrooms. I don’t think there’s a dessert in the bunch!
