Bartender’s Guide to the Best Mixed Drinks by “Kappa,” 1953. Revised Edition. Published in Tokyo, Japan, during the American occupation of Japan after World War II. Recipes for cocktails in both Japanese and English. Small, hard cover book. 143 pages. Cocktail book is in excellent vintage condition. There’s a nick off the lower corner of the cover. The fly leaf has a small, light stain and tear. The back fly leaf has a scribble. Binding is firm, hinges are solid, pages are all clean and clear.

The drinks are all very American: American Beauty Cocktail, Bronx Cocktail, California Lemonade, Manhattan Cocktail. The book was distributed by the Charles E. Tuttle Co.
