unt Chick’s Pies, Tarts, Ravioli, Cookies, Doughnuts. Rare 1939 Booklet from the Chicadees, Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Nettie McBirney (Mrs. Samuel Pendleton McBirney.) Booklet was copyrighted by Nettie McBirney in 1940. This booklet is from the first printing, before Mrs. McBirney received her copyright. The booklet has 150 recipes for pies and pastries McBirney makes using her Non-Stick Pastry Canvas and Crispy Crust Piepan. Booklet has a paper cover and 36 pages, plus index. The booklet’s cover has some slight shelf wear.  The stapled binding is firm, and all the pages are completely clean.  All the recipes are here, and they sound wonderful.  The cookbook is cleverly written, with observations like “Making of Piecrust. Don’t be scared. It is just piecrust.” Contains recipes lik e Boiled Cider and Raisin Pie, Orange Nut Pie, Prune Pie Majestic, Apple Pie Wau-ki-ki, Green Tomato Pie, Magic Lemon Banana Pie, Black Bottom Pie, Raisin and Pineapple Meringue Pie, Date Divinity Pie, and many more.
