Tony Chachere’s Cajun Country Cookbook, 1972: Chachere’s first cookbook–the one that made him famous. Features seafood and wild game. Edited by Griffin L. Gomez. Self-published through his company, Cajun Country Cookbook, Inc., Opelousas, Louisiana. Plastic comb binding in excellent condition. 178 pages. The first owner of this cookbook made numerous notes. She underlined, checked, and made notations on many of the recipes. She also made notes of the page numbers of recipes she particularly liked. But she was very tidy about her notations. Pages are clean and clear, with the exceptions of the notations.
Tony Chachere’s Micro-Wave Cajun Country Cookbook, 1979: The new revised edition, 4th printing. Featuring seafoods, wildgame, and Cajun-styled dishes. In collaboration with Ruth Comingore, Celebrated Micro-wave Specialist. Also self-published through Cajun Country Cookbook, Inc., Opelousas, Louisiana. 182 pages. This cookbook was owned by someone who didn’t take a single note! Every page is clean and clear.
