Description
Recipes from Walter’s Original Delice: Recipes from pastry chef Walter Huber, who opened a shop–Delice–in Aspen in 1957, then moved it to Glenwood Springs in 1978. Huber called Delice a “Continental Pastry Shop and Tea Room.” The shop and restaurant closed in 2006, with Huber saying he was going to write a cookbook. I assume this is it. (You can read an article about the Delice’s closing in the Glenwood Springs Post Independent, here: https://www.postindependent.com/news/kitchen-closed-delice-shutting-doors-after-nearly-50-years/.)
This cookbook has a paper cover, stapled binding, and 30 pagveres. The cover has a bit of shelf wear. Pages are all clean and clear. It begins with a Viennese wafer recipe and continues through cookies, bars, and cakes, plus recipes for fine desserts, breads and rolls, tortes, and “A Few Cookies.”
