Plymouth Ten Cook Book, 1929, Park Congregational Church, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Black Leather Cover. Very difficult to find church cookbook, especially in nearly mint condition. The Plymouth Ten Cook Book, published in 1929 from Park Congregational Church, Grand Rapids, Michigan. This first edition, first published copy has a very fine, flexible black leather cover. (The only reason for the “Ten” is the title that I can see is that ten church ladies compiled it.) 122 pages, all clean and clear, with the exception of four or five corrections written in ink on a few recipes. Binding is tight. Cover has a few very light stains and the lower right corner has been turned up. As is the tradition with church cookbooks, each recipe has the name of the contributor included. Each chapter has a blank page for additional recipes. These pages are all blank.

Chapters include Soups, Sauces, Salads, Relishes, Pickles, Marmalades, Luncheon Dishes, Hors d’Oeuvres, Fish and Sea Food, Desserts, Cookies, Conserves, Cakes, Breads, and Beverages.
