Palm Beach Cook Book, 1968, Garden Club of Palm Beach. First Edition, First Printing. Still with its Errata Sheet: I get a kick out of this cookbook, because its authors write about the garden club members preparing these dishes, when you know their cooks did the work! Edited by Harriet Healy (Mrs. Augustine Healy,) the booklet is 62 pages and it has recipes for appetizers, soups, fish, eggs, breads, vegetables, meats, salads, and desserts. Some of the recipes sound wonderful, but difficult to prepare, like Chicken Breasts with Fois Gras and Truffles or Escalopes de Veau from Charleroi “21.” All the cookbook’s pages are completely clean and clear. The back cover has a large (1″ by 1 1/2″) dark black spot where something has been written over. The front cover is in excellent vintage condition. The cookbook has a plastic comb binding and the lowest two prongs are missing.
