Cookbook that is subtitled An Unusual Book of Choice and Practical Recipes Contributed by the New England Hotel Women and Chefs. Compiled and written by the New England Hotel Women’s Relief Association Incorporated in 1933. Small hard cover cookbook with 131 pages plus 12 clay coated pages of advertising, many of the ads full page. All of the ads are from Massachusetts. The recipes are for cocktails and canapes, soups and chowders, fish, entrees, meats and poultry, vegetables, salads, breads, pastry, puddings, frozen desserts, cakes and cookies, confections, and miscellaneous.
The linen-covered boards are in excellent condition with almost no shelf wear. The binding is sound. The hinges are perfect. All the pages are clear and clean. The front flyleaf has a cute donkey drawn on, apparently as a celebration of someone’s birthday.
