Description
Simple But Effective Cake Decorating, 1925, 1939, Dennis M. Hopkins. Nearly Mint Condition! Third printing copy of a vintage cake decorating book that must have been an enormous help in the bake shop. Oversized book with red cloth covered boards and 143 pages. Binding is perfect–very solid. Hinges are perfect. Each and every page is completely clean and clear. The book begins with a list of necessary tools for decorative work, then goes to decorating icings (with recipes.) There are chapters with exercises for beginners, on making flowers, medallions and molds. There’s the normal chapter on the use of marzipan and one on fondant icing, plus one on nougat and butter creams. There’s a chapter on cake making (with recipes,) and one on birthday and party cakes. I really think you could learn cake decorating with this book.
