The lighthearted story of two Americans who come to operate a hotel and restaurant, the Casa de los Tesoros, in Alamos, Mexico–a hotel and restaurant that needed extensive restoration, a complete staff, etc. The authors include a chapter with a week of menus, which they call “examples of balanced variety of predominating flavors.” They also include many of the Casa de los Tesoros’ recipes, organized as Consommes and Soups, Second Courses or Lunch Dishes, Entrees Including Fish, Fowl, Meats, and Vegetables. There are also chapters called “My Favorite Mexican Recipe,” Desserts, and “The El Tesoro Fantasy.” It also includes some excellent recipes called “Roberto’s Specials.”
This book was self-published. It has an interesting, stucco-like textured cardboard cover and metal spiral binding. 99 pages. The book is in nearly mint condition. There is some very modest staining and shelf wear along the edges. The pages are completely clean and clear. This is a difficult-to-find cookbook. Presumed first edition.
