A storybook cookbook, A Little Cook Book for A Little Girl tells of Margaret, who wanted to learn to cook. While I haven’t read how old Margaret is (just skimming,) the book says that Margaret was too young to be taught to cook. However, her family supplies small tables, small tools, etc., and within a year Margaret learns to cook some pretty sophisticated dishes: pressed chicken, meat souffle, all kinds of fancy cakes. I was impressed! Hard cover book with NO dust jacket. A perfectly charming child’s cookbook!
