Description

L. S. Ayres Tea Room, Indiana State Museum, 1999, Mint Condition. History and Recipes. When L. S. Ayres got gobbled out by Macy’s, like all the other great local department stores in the country, apparently The Ayres Foundation gave the L.S. Ayres downtown’s tea room to the Indiana State Museum. (What a good idea!) So the museum set up and operated the tea room both as a restaurant and an historical artifact. This book is one of the results. Published by the museum in 1999. This copy is from the second printing. 67bpages plus a couple of blank pages for notes. Recipes, photographs and stories. Metal comb binding. Heavy, clay-coated paper for the completely clean and clear pages. Entire book is in mint, never used condition. Makes me want to go back home again to Indiana and have lunch again at the tea room!
