Hollywood Glamour Cook Book by Mariposa: The entire title is Hollywood Glamour Cook Book for Health and Beauty or A Thousand Ways to Make Yourself Beautiful. Mariposa was, apparently, a “chef to the stars” in Hollywood during the 1930s. This cookbook–and its glamour rules, lists of dos and don’ts, and many, many menus–was published by Glamour Publications, Miami, Florida in 1940. The entire cookbook is centered on eating well for health and beauty, with discussion of vitamins, planetary foods, glamour herbs, and the “Mystic Pot.” Hard cover. 427 pages. Binding is perfect. Pages are all clean and clear. Cover has shelf wear and small tears. This copy is a presumed first edition, first printing.
