Dorcas Cook Book, Trinity Lutheran Church, Spring Grove, Minn. 1940, 1987: Reprint of the 1940 Dorcas Cook Book from Trinity Lutheran Church, Spring Grove, Minn. Published for the Spring Grove Ninth Decennial Homecoming Celebration. Cookbook with heavy paper cover and metal spiral binding. (The cover isn’t as spotted as it looks here. I don’t know what’s going on with this image. 154 pages plus several pages with hand written recipes for items like sour cream cookies and apple or rhubarb crisp. Many local ads are included. The pages are all clean and clear, with no spots or other stains, with the exception of the many additional hand written recipes.

This cookbook as a special feature: the first chapter is “Norwegian Recipes,” with seven pages of recipes for dishes like Norwegian Fattigman. Most of them seem to be for cookies and desserts!
