Easter Daffodil Cake from Woman’s Home Companion Cook Book, 1942
Easter Daffodil Cake from Woman’s Home Companion Cook Book, 1942: Here’s one great spring recipe in two parts from the highly-sought-after Woman’s Home Companion Cook Book. The first edition, with the famous Wartime Postscript. (Don’t you wish we still took war so seriously?)
Of course we have the cookbook. See it here: https://www.vintagecookbook.com/product/womans-home-companion-cook-book-1942/
Woman’s Home Companion Cook Book 1942: Woman’s Home Companion Cook Book, with an introduction by Dorothy Kirk. Published by P.F. Collier and Son Corporation, New York. First edition, copyrighted in 1942. Includes the Wartime Postscript. Has a fragment of the dust jacket–the front and spine portions. Yes, this is the cream-colored hard cover edition. Hard cover, 951 pages. All the pages are clean and clear. The binding is sound. The hinges are intact. The cover is perfect. I’d say this is gift quality, especially if the receiver is a really nice person. It’s one of the best copies we’ve ever had!
