Cover of the book, binding, hinges, and pages are all in as-if-new condition. Book was written by three master brewers, Edward H. Voget, JR., Frank H, Schwaiger, and Henry G. Leonhardt, plus assistant master brewer Henry G. Leonhardt, and President of Ems Brewing Co., J. Adolf Merten, all assisted by a 21 member editorial board.
The chapters begin with the topic, “Water,” continue through all the basic ingredients of beer, then continue with the physical properties of the brewery, bottle house and racking procedure, sanitation and safety precautions, and a short history of brewing in in the U.S.A. It includes many, many illustrations, mostly line drawings. Again, this book is in as-if-new condition.
