Description
How to Feed a Starving Artist Cookbook, 1983, Miriam Ross Wolf, First Edition, First Printing: Subtitled “Favorite Recipes from Artists of the West.” This is a huge cookbook compiled and edited by Miriam Ross Wolf and published by Mountain Press Publishing Company, Missoula, Montana, in 1983. The recipes are from more than 100 artists–I’ve included the list, so you can look for your favorite. Each artist’s page has a short biography, an example of the artwork, and one or more of his or her family’s recipes. The cookbook is 8 1/2″ wide by 11 1/2″ high, has a card board cover and a plastic comb binding, with 293 pages. It is in nearly as-if-new condition. The cover has a tiny bit of shelf wear. The pages and binding are perfect.
Many notable artists have recipes in this collection. See VintageCookbook.com’s recipe file for R.C. Gorman’s Avocado Salad. Here: https://vintagecookbook.com/recipes/
