500 Recipes and Food Facts Tested and Approved New York Herald Tribune Institute. 500 Cards in Box. 1930s? Dark green paper covers this box that is also lined with gold paper. The lid is attached at the end of the box, and the box is filled with 500 recipe cards beginning with appetizers and ending with vegetables and then cooking techniques. All the cards are in excellent antique condition. In fact, I doubt if many of them have been out of the box. The cards at the very front of the box are wrinkled and the very front one (for Aspic Canapes) is both wrinkled and a little stained. The box itself has shelf wear, especially at the corners, but it is still is quite sound and serves its purpose very well.
This is a difficult-to-find set of recipe cards. A few additional recipes have been added by the original owner. I’ll send those along, too, of course.
