Are you a fan of the Thoughts for Food series? (https://www.vintagecookbook.com/product/thoughts-for-food-1946/; https://www.vintagecookbook.com/product/thoughts-for-buffets-2/; https://www.vintagecookbook.com/product/more-thoughts-for-food-a-menu-aid-1943/) Florence Kerr Hirschfeld was one of the Chicago socialites who produced that series; she was a prime contributor. This cookbook her effort to speak on her own, using her own byline. A bubbly, conversational cookbook that’s all about entertaining, Hirschfeld tells many tales about her parties, brunches, guests. (Her life must have been exhausting!)
