Subtitled, “Planned for a Family of Four: Economical Recipes Designed to Meet the Needs of the Modern Housekeeper.” Includes chapters on entertaining, paper-bag cookery, casserole cookery, fireless cookery, chafing-dish cookery, and meat substitutes. 507 pages, with several full-page illustrations. This cookbook is in wonderful condition. Pages are completely clean and clear. Hinges are perfect. Binding is solid.
Every chapter has blank pages for additional recipes. The first owner wrote in several, meticulously and glued in several more. The recipes are for creations like Mrs. Shepherd’s Fruit Cake, Jelly Roll and Salad Dressing.
