Teen Cuisine Illustrated by Peter Max: Teen Cuisine: A Beginner’s Guide to French Cooking. Written by Abby Gail Kirsch and Sandra Bangilsdorf Klein with illustrations by Peter Max. All recipes tested by Parents’ Magazine Family Food Department, Parents’ Magazine Press, New York. Published in 1969. The book’s first chapter sells French cooking as “a creative experience, a social asset, and a status symbol all at once,” then it rolls into a brief history of French cooking. The second chapter teaches the reader how to make crepes! Lots of great recipes with French names!

This is a hard cover book with 189 pages. First edition, first printing. Excellent vintage condition. Dust jacket has shelf wear and tear, and it is now safely encased in Mylar. Binding is firm. Hinges are perfect. All pages are clean and clear. And, it goes without saying, fantastic illustrations by the great Peter Max! Entire book has an electric, jazzy layout, with Max illustrations throughout. Text is printing in many hot colors. Pages are hot colors, shaded from, for example, dark purple to dark orange.
