Difficult-to-Find:  Heavy textured cardboard cover on cookbook compiled and self-published in 1936 by Felix Mendelsohn, 104 Auditorium Hotel, Chicago.  (No, not THAT Felix Mendelssohn.)  First edition, first printing.  Spiral bound.  232 pages.  Pages are all completely clean and clear.  Front cover is detached from the book.  Signed with a note by “Felix M.”

Mendelsohn writes, “The opportunity of securing Famous Recipes of Famous People, this most unusual of cook books, is one of many attractions for the visitors at The Food and Beverage Fair and Household Exposition. It has been contributed to by famous chefs and maitres, by stage folk and screen stars, by newspaper men, columnists, in fact by glamorous personalities in every walk of life.”

Contributors include Henry Fonda (Onion Rings), Mary Pickford (Creamed Finnan Haddie), Jascha Heifetz Fried herring with onions) and Jack Dempsey (Old fashioned Irish lamb stew). This is a very scarce cook book with only 4 copies recorded on OCLC.
