Pumpkin Rosemary Soup and Carrot and Coriander Soup from Chickadee Cottage Cookbook: I couldn’t decide which of these sounds best, so I’ll give the both to you.
Of course we have the cookbook. See it here: https://www.vintagecookbook.com/product/chickadee-cottage-cookbook-lake-city-minnesota-1994/
Chickadee Cottage Cookbook, Lake City Minnesota, 1994: First cookbook compiled by Donna Hawkins, owner and proprietor of the Chickadee Cottage Tea Room & Restaurant, located at one of the most beautiful spots in the upper Midwest, on the Great River Road in Lake City, Minnesota, right on Lake Pepin, a thirty-mile wide stretch of the of the Mississippi River. When you know the location, you know why Chickadee Cottage is only open in the spring, summer, and early fall.
Hawkins has a whole string of Chickadee Cottage Cookbooks, but this is the first one. Cookbook was self-published in 1994. This is a first edition, first printing copy in near-mint condition. Large format paperback with a metal spiral binding. 136 pages. The book has a slight bit of shelf wear. Pages are all clean and clear. As far as I know, this is the only copy of this cookbook available on the Internet.
Incredible coffee cake recipes! Recipes for breads, salads, soups, vegetables, main dishes, preserves, pastries and desserts, cookies, bars and cakes, plus afternoon tea recipes. See VintageCookbook’s Recipes section for one great recipe (actually two) from this great tea room cookbook.
