Description

Woman’s Home Companion Cook Book in Cook’s Copy Condition, 1946: Vintage cookbook with an introduction by Dorothy Kirk. Published by Garden City Publishing Company, Inc., New York. Copyrighted in 1942. This copy was published in 1946.  Yes, you thought it had a cream-colored hard back cover.  When this edition was published, Collier used these black fabric-covered boards. Hard cover, 951 pages.

The cover of this cookbook has lots of wear, especially at the base of the spine.   Inside, the cookbook is in fine shape.  All the pages are clean and clear.  The binding is sound.  The hinges are intact. There’s not even a signature on the fly leaf!  Some page corners are turned down, and some pages have minor spots and stained.  So you get a great price on a slightly damaged cookbook!
