Description

Wolf in Chef’s Clothing: The Picture Cook and Drink Book for Men. Written by Robert H. Loeb, Jr. Illustrated by Jim Newhall. Published by Wilcox & Follett Company, Chicago and New York in 1950. This copy from the 1954 printing.  All the recipes are illustrated in 1950’s cartoon fashion, with at least one cartoon on every page.  Interestingly enough, the first five chapters of this book are recipes for food.   The last seven chapters are for cocktails and other alcoholic beverages. Over sized hard cover with dust jacket. The hinges are perfect and the binding is sound.  All the pages are clean and clear.  The dust cover has many little tears and folds, but it is now encased in Mylar.  Excellent vintage condition.
