Vermont Maple Syrup Cook Book, 1966, 1974, Reginald L. Muir:  This is an elegant cookbook with two parts, Part I:  The Romance of Maple Syrup and Part II:  Cooking withe Maple Syrup.  Part I gives the history of maple syrup, talks about the sugar maple tree, and about actually making the syrup.  Part II–the bulk of the book–is recipes.  Maple syrup is used in main course dishes, breads, cakes, pies, cookies, puddings, gelatin desserts, frozen desserts, sauces and frostings, confections, and beverages.

This copy of Vermont Maple Syrup Cook Book is from the 1974 second edition.  It was edited by Reginald Muir, with a foreward by former Senator George D. Aiken.  The book was published by Phoenix Publishing, Woodstock, Vermont.  Hard cover, with 180 pages.  There’s a bookplate on the fly leaf, other than that, this book is in as-if-new condition.
