Tom and Jerry’s Bartender’s Guide How to Mix Drinks, 1943 Edition SALE!!

$152.75

Description

Tom and Jerry’s Bartender’s Guide How to Mix Drinks, 1943 Edition:  “Pre-Prohibition Recipes” printed at the bottom of the cover.  “A Manual of Quick Reference” printed on the title page.  Published by The Charles T. Powner Co., Chicago.  1943 copyright held by W. E. Powner.  128 pages, including the alphabetical index.  Includes an Introduction talking about mixed drinks and Prohibition, several short reference tables, tips on how to avoid hangovers, drinks for “tapering off,” and instructions for the morning after, including the recipe for a Morning Fizz.   Also includes an addendum with 1934 additions.

This copy is in excellent vintage condition.  The paper cover has numerous liquid stains, both front and back.  The spine cover has been reinforced with clear librarian’s tape.   But all the pages are completely clean and clear.  Binding is very tight.  I don’t think these recipes were ever used.
