This book is based on two lifetime Oregon residents’ camping experiences and their wish to affirm the “American Spirit.” The two men have developed something of their own language, but the book happily has a glossary. The cookbook has menus and toddies for an 18-day period, alternative main dishes, quick-fix grub, torrid toddies for bedraggled bodies, and sourdough starter recipes.
