This cookbook begins with a history of Savannah and the house itself, built in 1771 by James Habersham, Jr. In the 1960s, it was restored and converted into a fine restaurant by McCallar and Keith. Following the history chapter, the book provides a selection of the restaurant’s menus, including holiday menus. The final chapter (and by far the longest chapter) is recipes from the restaurant.
